It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Gates, who died peacefully at the age of 81. Michael grew up in Los Angeles and in his adult life was a long-time resident of Cherry Hill, NJ before more recently making his home in Southampton, NJ. A beloved family member, friend, and neighbor, Michael lived a full and meaningful life with curiosity, kindness, and quiet strength.

Outside of his professional life, Mike was a world traveler with a deep appreciation for culture and history. Over the years, Michael had several beloved Russian Wolfhounds, each one a cherished companion and a source of comfort and joy. Michael was an avid reader, known for always having a stack of library books at his side and a keen interest in history that often sparked thoughtful conversations with those around him.
