Nessim E Awad

Nessim E. Awad passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023 at the age of 81, surrounded by his family.  He was born in El Mansoura, Egypt to Victoria (nee Abd ElMalak) and Ebeid Awad.

Nessim received his Bachelor degree in Accounting from Cairo University in 1965. He received his Master’s Degree in Coptic Studies in 1987. He was an Epidiacon in St. Anthony Coptic Church, where he led a bible study group twice a week.  He published his Book (The Word of God in Sunday’s Liturgy) in 2019 and created a YouTube Channel dedicated to studying the bible.

Nessim is the beloved husband of the late Mrs. Mounira Farag, father of Mrs. Anne Marie and her husband Dr. Gamil Hanna, Mrs. Ingi and her husband Eng. Rafik Rezkalla, and the late Mr. George Awad.  Grandfather of Marlena Hanna, and Mark and Peter Rezkalla.  Uncle of Mirande and Nermine Girgis. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 7PM-9PM in the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  A Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony’s Coptic Church 267 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055 on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10AM.  Entombment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park 1500 Rt. 70 W, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 at 1PM.
