Paul Bolognone Obituary

Paul John Bolognone, of Medford, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Mary (nee Parisi) and Joseph John Bolognone.

Paul was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather (Pop Pop), and friend who lived life with passion and joy. He was devoted to his family, his faith, and his community. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a deep love for serving others. He enjoyed coaching his children’s youth sports teams, always striving to teach values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and hard work.

A man of action, Paul was involved in many organizations throughout his life. He was an active member of the Rohm & Haas social club, the Knights of Columbus (Chapter 6520), and served as the Commander of the New Jersey Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). He took great pride in volunteering for various causes, including placing American flags and wreaths on the graves of deceased military veterans, as well as assisting in efforts to feed and clothe the less fortunate.

Paul was a proud graduate of LaSalle University (Class of 1964) and later earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from American University. He enjoyed a successful 33-year career at Rohm & Haas in Bristol, PA. After retiring, Paul dedicated himself to supporting children with special needs as a school bus aide in Medford, a role he found deeply fulfilling.

An avid reader, Paul had a genuine love for life, for people, and for his country. He enjoyed many hobbies, including rooting for his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, savoring a good scotch, and indulging in the occasional cigar. He also had a passion for travel, cherishing the opportunity to explore new places and create memories with his family.

He spent his later years attending Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford where he developed deep friendships.  He attended courses, joined a small group with Dolores and forged lasting relationships with many through the weekly Men’s breakfast.

Paul was the beloved husband of Dolores Marie (nee Sirianni), his devoted wife of many years. He was the loving father of Catherine Mary (Lynch) and Michael (spouse), Paul John Jr. and Kimberly (nee Klaits), and Michael and Sherri (nee Hoxit), and a doting grandfather to Paul Jake and Haley (fiancé), Eric, Jack, Michael Judge, and MaryTess. He was also the dear brother of Joseph and Ann (nee Coleman), Vincent and Maryellen (nee Farrell), and Mary and Arthur Lenzi, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his warmth and generosity.
