Peter Bollman Brown, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2025. He was 78 years old.
Pete was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was proud to be a part of a large family growing up, where he was the youngest of nineteen first cousins. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and then Otterbein College in Ohio where he majored in Business Administration. He began his professional career in New York City at Wyomissing Corporation. After getting married in 1971, he lived in New Providence, NJ before moving to Medford, NJ where he resided for 42 years. He spent much of his career working for Gallo Wines Sales of New Jersey in corporate sales.
Pete and Lynne loved raising their family in Sherwood Forest and being a part of the Medford community. Following in his father’s footsteps, he took great pride in home renovations where he built a sunroom, renovated the kitchen, installed flooring, etc. Also, he loved caring for his lawn where the grass was always green and perfect.
Pete was the ultimate girl dad. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in youth sports and always brought a competitive spirit. He was proud to cheer them on (and offer advice) during high school and college. Over the years, he was always present and never missed a game.
In his leisure, he enjoyed golfing, family vacations to Sea Isle, watching his grandkids’ sporting events, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, listening to his extensive music collection and watching HGTV. For the last eight years, he and Lynne spent the winter months in Hutchinson Island, Florida where he enjoyed golfing, socializing at the pool and eating out with friends. But above all, he cherished his time spent with family and friends.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Lynne; his daughters, Missy Sugra (Matt) and Shelly Rowe (Mark); and his grandchildren Jack, Paige, Troy, Owen, Bret, Nate and his brother Michael Brown (Kris). He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Emmett Brown and his sister Zoe Tenley.
Pete will be remembered for his big personality, caring heart and profound attention to detail. Rest in peace Dad…we love you and will forever cherish your memory.
