Regina Leach Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we share the passing of our cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, Regina “Jean” Leach. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on November 20, 2025.  She was 81 years of age.

Jean and her husband of 61 years, Bill, moved from Philadelphia to Tabernacle, where they built their life and raised their family for the past 48 years. Their life together was a true partnership shaped by shared dreams, boundless love, and the comfort of always having a hand to hold.

Jean worked for the Tabernacle School District in various roles beginning in 1977, her last as Secretary to the Superintendent. She and Bill retired together so they could spend their days with family, friends, and doing what they loved most - traveling. They especially loved cruising. For someone who wouldn’t step foot in a pool or the ocean, she adored being out to sea and proudly considered herself a lifelong “cruiser.”

When not cruising, Jean was the first seated at the Bingo table in Atlantic City. She loved sharing this time with Bill and her friends and always finished out the evening playing her favorite slot machines.

Jean is also mourned by her three children: Bill (Tina) Leach, Kathy (Mark) Caira, Jeanne (Joe) Murphy, and her ten grandchildren: Nathan, Lydia, Andy & Luke Leach; Claire, Emma, & Grace Caira; and, Matthew, Tommy (Reagan), & Danny Murphy. As a mother and grandmother, she was our steady source of strength and comfort, the one who made us laugh, the place we always felt safe, and the source of loving guidance that we all sought. She touched countless lives, and everyone who knew her will carry a piece of her in their hearts forever. She was known by all for her wit, her warmth, her dedication, and her kindness. She had a gift for making people feel safe, heard, and deeply loved.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:45 am at Holy Eucharist Church, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following. Interment will be private and held on a later date for the family.
