Richard Jarrard Petley

RICHARD JARRARD PETLEY, age 58, of Southampton, NJ passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 in Denver, CO. Born in Pasadena, TX, he is the son of the late William Jarrard Petley and Sandra Ann (nee Berryhill) Petley of Southampton, NJ. He is also survived by his sons Palmer Snook (aka Petley) of Green Cove Springs, FL and Mason Petley of Barrigoda, Guam; his sister Rebecca Lynne Galati and her husband Robert Galati of Southampton, NJ, brother William George Petley and his wife Stacy (nee Jackson) Petley, of Manahawkin, NJ, brother David Albert Petley of Southampton, NJ, and sister Elizabeth Ann (nee Petley) McDonald and her husband David McDonald of East Bernard, Tx; nieces and nephews Nicole Galati, Paul Jurkonis, Jr., William R. Petley, Kristina (nee Galati) Battaglia, Justin Galati, Daniel Petley, and Rachel Petley.

Richard loved nature and animals, especially the mountains. It was in nature that he felt most comfortable and connected to life. He was artistically gifted and loved to draw and create tables and other items with his hands. He navigated his way through life fast and furious, loved through it all. He will remain forever a part of our hearts and has taken a piece of it with him. Rest in Peace, Richard. With all our love…

A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Church of Christ, 629 South Church Street, Mt. Laurel, NJ on January 24, 2026 at 11:00AM.  Doors will be open at 10:30AM.
