Rick Sozio

RICK SOZIO of Brigantine, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4th, 2023.  He was 56 years of age.  Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, he was the son of the late Antonio Sozio and Florence E. (nee McCloskey) Sozio and William Bruce.

He has resided in Brigantine for the past 2 years moving there from Tabernacle where he lived most of his life. Rick was an Equipment Operator with Local 542 in Philadelphia, PA, an avid fisherman and Phillies fan. He also was the former Director of Baseball for the Tabernacle Athletic Association (TAA).

He is the beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Santola) Sozio of Brigantine, NJ of 26 years and the loving father of Alec Sozio of Brigantine, NJ. Stepfather of Jacqueline Sheeran (Trevor Szewczyk) of Philadelphia, PA and Ashley Sheeran of Brick, NJ.  He is also the brother of Mariangela Sozio (George Kennedy) of Tabernacle, NJ and the late Annette Zimmermann (James) and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, March 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Road, Tabernacle, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
