Robert “Bob” Henry Baldyga, age 72 , born on March 12, 1952, of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with his wife and children by his side. Bob was born in Camden, NJ to Dorothy (nee McGrath) and Henry Baldyga.
Bob is the beloved husband of Hille Baldyga (nee Johnson), loving father of Benjamin (Kristin) Baldyga and Amanda (Josh) Kirby, adoring grandfather “Pop Pop” of Reese Baldyga, Landon Baldyga, Cayla Kirby, Madison Kirby, and Breanna Kirby, and dear brother of Jean Grzybowski, Marie Ralbusky, Diane Belz, Tom Baldyga and Jim Baldyga. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bob grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and was a graduate of Cherry Hill West High School. After high school, he attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he would meet his wife, Hille. Bob and Hille celebrated a milestone anniversary of 50 years of marriage in 2024.
Bob spent much of his adult life as a small business owner. After graduating college, he took the reins of the family business, Baldyga Masonry, and spent over 30 years building homes across South Jersey. When he wasn’t building a foundation or laying brick, his biggest passions included golf, landscaping, and Philadelphia sports. He was a proud member of Medford Village Country Club, where he enjoyed nearly 40 years surrounded by great golf friends. Bob even had a few hole-in-ones to his name and loved fishing for free balls in the pond.
Bob lived a faith-filled life as a dedicated member of the Catholic Church and found passion in giving back to others. After hanging up his work boots in the early 2000’s, Bob pursued a second career in education, gaining a second degree and working for the state of New Jersey in both vocational schools and group homes. He was incredibly passionate about helping his students find their path and teaching them many academic and vocational skills.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bob’s life on a date to be announced at Johnson’s Corner Farm 133 Church Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
