ROGER D. PULLEN, age 78, of Medford, NJ, passed away at home on Friday, May 2, 2025 after losing his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. life-long resident of New Jersey, Roger was born in Trenton on February 7, 1947 to the late Lester and Mary Pullen of Burlington. He graduated from Burlington City High School in 1965 and went on to study Industrial Arts at Glassboro State College where he earned his BA and MA. While at Glassboro, Roger met his future wife, Valerie. They were married in February 1969 sharing love and companionship for 56 years. After service in the U.S. Army, Roger worked as a teacher, coach, and held other capacities at Shawnee High School in Medford over 35 years of service until his retirement in 2005. He was named South Jersey Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2000. The couple experienced absolute joy with the birth of Rebecca in 1979, as well as devastating sorrow with the loss of infant son Michael in 1982. Roger lives on in his precious grandchildren, Ethan and Mia, with whom he shared a deep bond of affection. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
