ROSA MARIA BUONGIOVANNI of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4th, 2023. She was 78 years of age. Born in Brooklyn, NY she is the daughter of the late Mary (Fiore) and Abbondio Mocci. Family was first along with friends, and Jesus. She was an active member of churches her whole life. Rosa loved to entertain in her home with family and friends, having gatherings, holidays, birthdays, and special celebrations. Rosa loved to cook home cooked meals 7 days a week, preferably Italian!!! She loves shopping, gardening, talking on the phone for hours to long distance friends, and relatives. Rosa's hobbies were ceramics, crocheting, and quilting. Rosa was a caregiver; she cared for family, friends, and special children that were not her own!!!
She loved teaching bible classes, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Rosa was a big part of this families life in every aspect!!!!
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Buongiovanni, she was the amazing mother of oldest daughter Denise and husband Harvey Wills, Jr., daughter Kimberly Baum and fiancé Michael Padgett, late son Edward Buongiovanni, adoring grandmother of 4 amazing grandchildren; Grandson Harvey Wills III and spouse Teressa Wills, grandson Adam Wills and spouse Kaitlyn Wills, granddaughter Ashley Marie Wills and fiancé James Norman, and grandson Drew Baum and fiancé Adrienne Robinson. She is a great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren; Carter Butler, Nylee Soos, Carter Wills, Adalina Norman, Owen Wills, Oaklee Wills, James Norman, Jr., Haislee Wills, and Gema Baum. Dear aunt of John Mocci and Wayne Mocci, little sister to John Mocci and wife Jean Mocci.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 12 PM -2 pm in the Living Hope Christian Church 37 Coles Avenue, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 where a funeral service will be held.
Entombment will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11AM at Twins Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Drive, Muncy, PA 17756.
