Sam B. Sanders, son of the late Ruby Sanders, was born on January 13, 1946 in Demopolis, Alabama. Sam attending Camden High School located in Camden New Jersey. He was a graduate of Morgan State University. He later joined the military serving in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Alberta Woods for over 15 years and was blessed with a baby girl Victoria Sanders. Sam worked at Campbell Soup for several years before becoming a successful entrepreneur. He started Bentley Contracting which was an Asbestos removal company and later originated Express Grocery. He enjoyed his position as an owner operator and he always valued his independence as working for himself which was more rewarding then working for some else.
Sam was a man of convection and will be remembered for his outspoken character as he never lied to you and when he spoke you knew what he meant, NO meant NO.
In 1986 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Dorothy Sanders, a union which lasted 34 years and became loving father to Otis Jackson. His passion was miniature trains as he always attended train shows when could. He enjoyed riding locomotives trains and insisted on riding in the conductors’ car so he could talk about his passion. He also enjoyed sports which included Basketball, Golf and Football. Sam loved seafood and never passed up crabs.
He quietly departed this life on Monday February 8, 2021, in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his daughter Victoria and his twin sons Ronald and Donald. He leaves behind his wife Dorothy his son Otis Jackson (Dana) of New Jersey, grandchildren Matthew Chad Sanders of New Jersey, Afrika Black of New Jersey, Kayla Millhouse of Florida, Ronald Millhouse of Florida, Nigel Millhouse of Florida. Aubrey Jackson. Great grandchildren Kaden Millhouse, Kailey Millhouse, Jamal Fiffer Jr. Ronald Millhouse the III, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon.
