Samira S. (Durham) Hogan

Samira (Durham) Hogan of Fayettville, NY, departed this life for her eternal Home on May 8, 2023 after a valiant battle with dementia.

Samira was born on July 13, 1937 in Brasher Falls, NY to loving parents who emigrated from Lebanon. She was part of a large hard-working family that celebrated their roots with joyful gatherings and traditions of their culture. Their home was always filled with friends who also were seeking to find their way in this country.

“Sam” lived and raised her 6 children in Malone, NY and was employed by Time-Warner cable company as an office manager. She was a hard worker and modeled that trait to her children. She was active in her church and loved to sing and participate in various community activities. Above all, her love of the Lord was the foundation for so many of her relationships. She was a prayer warrior for her family and friends during many hardships.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Harry & Shafeka Durham, siblings, Samia Dwyer & Ramez Durham and her grandson, Ian Ferris. She was the loving mother of Ann Radovich of Medford, NJ, Frank Ferris of Lebanon, Tenn., Rick Ferris of Richmond, Va., Michael Hogan (Donna), of Malvern, PA, Patrick Hogan of Fayettville, NY and Bryan Hogan (Will) of CA. She was the precious Grandmother of Jessica Radovich, Daniel Radovich, Samara Ferris, Samuel and Ava Hogan and 4 beautiful step-grandchildren, Rachel, Gabby, Kate and Amber Spurlock. She is survived by 2 siblings, Adele Durham and Harry Durham Jr. She will be missed by many beloved nieces and a nephew.

A time of greeting the family will be held at Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055 on June 3rd from 12:00pm-1:00pm.  A Celebration of Her Life will be held starting at 1:00pm.  For those desiring to donate in her name, please consider The Tender (www.thetender.org), an incredible respite program for those in the grips of the difficult battle with dementia. The family is filled with gratitude for the joy and significance The Tender provided to our Mother during the last year of her life.
