Shirley Paradee Obituary

Shirley Clark Paradee died peacefully on Sunday, March 24 at Medford Leas.  Shirley was the daughter of John "Jack" and Hazel Clark of Collingswood, N.J.

She attended Collingswood High School where she maintained many lifelong friendships.  Following graduation, she worked as a medical technician at Jefferson Hospital where she met her future husband, Dr. Benjamin Paradee.  They married in 1950 and raised four children in Cherry Hill.  Shirley enjoyed dancing, summer vacations on Long Beach Island and was an active member of her high school sorority.  She will be remembered for her welcoming smile and bright blue eyes.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, "Dr. Ben" and her son Dan.  She is survived by her daughter, Joan Hennighausen, of Greensboro, NC, daughter-in-law, Kathy of Gardiner, ME, and sons Ben (Becky) of Crested Butte, CO, and Jim (Patty) of Lawrenceville, NJ.  She will be remembered affectionately by her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  She was a loving mother and a wonderful Nana.  We will miss her.

The family is planning a private service at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan Life-Enhancing Care of Mt. Laurel www.samaritannj.org/giving/donate-now/ or The Sacred Heart School of Camden, NJ sacredheartschoolcamden.org/sponsors-supporters
