Stephanie Ayers Obituary

STEPHANIE CAROLINE AYERS (nee Platt) of Hainesport, NJ, passed peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021.  She was 36 years of age.  Born in Mount Holly, NJ, she is the daughter of Shirley Ann (nee Forrest) and Donald W. Platt and is a long time resident of Hainesport.

Stephanie absolutely loved spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoyed helping through various ministries like Foster the Family, Mom-Life, children’s church groups, and more. When not taking the kids to parks or the zoo she crafted her own scrapbooks and T-shirts. Finally, she loved everything Disney and went on a trip to see the Mice every year.

Stephanie is the beloved wife of Scott D. Ayers of 15 years, loving mother of 2, Chase and Brielle, devoted daughter-in-law of Doug and Cindy Ayers, dear sister of Melissa, Tyler, and Nicholas, and adored granddaughter of Rae Forrest.

Stephanie was always very encouraging of her husband’s work and doted on him like no other. They had many memorable times, from their meeting at school when she fell into his lap to this past summer snorkeling and zip-lining in Hawaii. She will be very dearly missed by all who she has left behind but never forgotten.

She was never one to announce her medical issues and never wanted those who did know to dwell on them. She had a “it is what it is” attitude and very often said just that. She knew nothing could change the course that God had chosen for her so instead made the best of her time here.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 10am-Noon.  A funeral service will be held at Noon in the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford- Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  Interment is private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please use that money to support one of her family’s greatest passions, Foster the Family. You may donate by check to:

Foster the Family – 1892 Greentree Road, Suite 4, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 or online at www.fosterthefamily.org/donate

Finally, as this was one of her final requests: Please do not wear dark colors to the viewing/service. You do not need to be abstentious but keep in mind her and her husband’s favorite movie/love story – UP (by Disney).
