SUSAN MAY WALTER (née Buchanan), went home peacefully to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at home in Medford, NJ. Born in Darby, PA on October 30, 1943 to Louis & Amelia Buchanan, she grew up in Clayton, NJ, and lived her years as a wife and mother in Medford, NJ. She married her teenage sweetheart, James C. Walter Sr., on March 30, 1963 and was the Loving Mother of Tammy Sue Fisher and her husband John of Medford, NJ, James C. Walter Jr. and his wife Tammy of Southampton, NJ and Timothy Mark Walter of La Mesa, CA. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Eastwood and her brother William Buchanan both of Clayton, NJ, her grandchildren Lauren Kile (Craig), Corey Fisher (Jennifer), Kira Fisher, Amanda Roux (Guillaume) and James C. Walter III and her great granddaughter, Amelia May Kile. She was a woman of faith, prayer, and dedication, passionately applying her creativity and gifts as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader. Sue spent her life encouraging, treasuring, and loving children, bringing joy not only to her own family, but to countless young lives in her church and community. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy! Sue and Jim were blessed to be able to travel the world, although her favorite places remained, Disney World and their NJ shore home.
