THOMAS F. AUGENTI, of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was 93 years of age. He and his late wife, Alice W. Augenti (nee Widell) were married for 61 years before her passing in 2019. They lived for many years in Kendall Park, NJ and Flemington, NJ before moving to Medford in 2008. Music was a large part of their life together, and they participated in numerous choirs and choruses, often with Tom conducting while Alice accompanied on organ. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former Vice President for the Home Life Insurance Company.
Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Marion Augenti, predeceased by his wife Alice, and sister Martha Kershaw. He was the beloved father of Ann Pickens (John) of Tabernacle, NJ, and Margaret Shevelew (Jonathon) of Wrightsville, PA, and the loving grandfather of Alison Pickens, Samuel Shevelew, and Leah Shevelew. Interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends everyone listen to Rachmaninoff Concerto #2 in C Minor, played by Rachmaninoff himself.
