THOMAS M. KING, SR., 71, of Medford, NJ passed away peacefully on April 14, 2020 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Joseph Andrew King and Helen Marie King, he graduated from Saint Anthony’s High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Rider University. He moved to Lumberton, NJ then relocated to Medford, NJ in 1987. He worked for 32 years as an Administrative Analyst for the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections before retiring in 2002. After retiring from the NJ Department of Corrections, Tom worked as a substitute teacher in the Burlington County Special Services School District and volunteered at the Juvenile Conference Committee as a Judiciary Service Volunteer in the Family Practice Division. Tom was an avid outdoorsman whose hobbies included hunting, fishing, hiking, and gardening. He loved model railroading and fine scale modeling. He also enjoyed literature, games, music, and animals. Thomas is predeceased by his father, mother, and half-brother, Joseph King. He is survived by his beloved wife Sara King, his brother Robert (Frances) King, his five children: Renee (Timothy) Phillips, Thomas (Melissa) King Junior, Julianna (Joshua) Williams, Lindsay (Adam) Havas, Kelsey (Michael) Wilson, his four grandchildren: Veronica Alliegro, Jackson King, Annabelle King, Beulah Williams, and several nieces and nephews. Due to current gathering restrictions, a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME in Medford, NJ.
