WILLIAM MARK BOYD, of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21st, 2020 at the Samaritan Center in Voorhees, NJ. He was 80 years of age. Born in Bluefield, WV, to the late Jack and Helen Boyd, “Billy Mark” resided in Medford since 1982. He was an electronics enthusiast since his youth, building his own radios growing up and becoming an avid antique radio and phonograph hobbyist as an adult - restoring dozens of vacuum tube radios and phonographs over the past two decades. Bill’s personal interests translated into his academic and professional life, as he held an Electrical Engineering degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and began his career working with the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) in 1962. Over the course of his 43 year career, he stayed with the company through several acquisitions and held two patents in electronics design, before retiring from Lockheed-Martin in Moorestown, NJ, in 2005. Bill is the Beloved Husband of Barbara Jean (Smith) Boyd of Medford, NJ; and the Loving Father of Sean M. Boyd and his wife Jennifer of Monrovia, MD, Stefan M. Boyd of Seattle, WA and Melanie D. Boyd of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Boyd Mutter of Fort Pierce, FL, his sister Mary Helen Schmidt and her husband Bruce of Fort Pierce, FL. He was lovingly known as “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren, Ryan M., Michael W. and Lauren E. Boyd. Bill was known for his patience and kindness in every situation, and for an unconditional commitment to his family. He will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, Dec. 28th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt.
