William Samuel McCoy III

William “Bill” S. McCoy III, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on December 17, 2024 at the age of 90. Bill was a longtime resident of Marlton, NJ and grew up working on his father’s dairy farm. In his younger years, Bill was a good baseball player and had a tryout for the Philadelphia Athletics. Bill spent over twenty years working at Owens Corning and later went on to start his own janitorial business, McCoy’s Janitorial Service. At 58 years old he set off to retirement becoming an avid golfer and spending his days working part-time at Indian Springs Golf Course as a starter. Bill enjoyed skiing, traveling, and working in his vegetable garden. Bill also had a love for the Yankees, history and always stayed up to date on world events.

Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Amy McCoy; children, Tammy McCoy, Bill McCoy IV (Dawn), Kim West; grandchildren, Bill McCoy V (Jenna), Joe West, Amy West, Caitlin McCoy, Liam McCoy; great-grandchildren, Billy McCoy, Benjamin McCoy, Mia McCoy. He was predeceased in death by his parents William and Elizabeth McCoy, brother Wesley McCoy, and son-in-law Joseph West.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, December 21st from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin, NJ.
