Richard J. Riker

RICHARD J. RIKER, of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday May 20th, 2016.  He was 82 years of age.  Born in Orange, NJ, he is the son of the late William Emmons and Barbara Riker.  He has resided in Leisuretowne for the past 13 years, moving there from Medford, NJ.  Richard worked passionately as a Life Insurance Underwriter for many years, most recently for Innovative Underwriters in Philadelphia, PA.  In retirement, he recently had gotten involved with his local Historical Society and the Dulcimer Club.  He was the Beloved Husband of the late Kathryn A. Riker and is the Loving Father of Christopher D. Riker and his wife Brianne of Arlington, VA and Jennifer L. Riker of Washington, DC.  He is also the Loving Grandfather of Mariska and Leo.  Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Saturday, June 18th from 12:00 – 12:30 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, after which a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 12:30 PM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to the WTCares (Welsh Terrier Rescue Service) C/O Lyn Hollis, 164 North Forrest Ave., Camden, TN, 38320.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
