Arthur Simeone, 90, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on August 7, 2016.   Born in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Giuseppe Simeone and Rose Simeone, Art was the 9th of 10 children.  Arthur proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He was a graduate of Bryant College in Providence, R.I.  Art had an exceptional 30 year career with the General Electric Company, followed by another 15 years working for Joseph T. Fewkes Company.  He was a writer, inventor, woodworker, and a lover of books and technology.  In the mid 1970’s Art discovered bicycling and covered thousands of road miles in south central New Jersey.  Late in life he worked on several novels.  He regularly contributed to the local Leisuretown paper, The Watchdog, with a column he called: “Let’s talk about…” He covered a broad range of topics and had a loyal following.  Art was also published on the Philadelphia Enquirer’s letter to the editor page.  Art is survived at home by his devoted wife of 65 years, Joyce R. Simeone, and beloved daughter, Janet C. Simeone.  He is also survived by a son, Alan A. Simeone, MD and his wife Helga Simeone of Cincinnatti, OH; a daughter, Marguerite Eberhart of Salisbury Mills, NY; his sister Loretta Johlman and husband Edward of Winterhaven, FL; grandson Matthew Eberhart and wife Jennifer Krako, and great granddaughter, Isa of Brooklyn, NY; and grandson Michael Eberhart, wife Deirdre Eberhart, and great-granddaughter Indi of Melbourne, FL.  Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME in Medford, NJ.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests Memorial Donations to the US Library of Congress for the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at https://www.loc.gov/philanthropy/giving/step2.php .  (www.Bradleystow.com)
