REV. EDWIN C. SIMPSON of Tabernacle, NJ, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. He was 74 years of age. Born in Burford, Ontario Canada, he has resided in Tabernacle since 1989, moving there from Burlington Twp., NJ. A retired Pastor with the Church of the Nazarene in Burlington Twp., NJ, he served there from 1978 to 1988. He had previously served Churches in Macungie, PA, Millville, NJ, Ithaca, NY, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and Duxbury, MA. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College in Wollaston, MA, Pastor Simpson was an accomplished Church Construction GM who assisted in the building of 5 different churches and a church parsonage. After his retirement he established an Allstate Insurance Agency in Voorhees, NJ from 2000 to 2010. He is the Beloved Husband of Grayce L. (nee Teal) Simpson of Tabernacle, NJ and the Loving Father of Tammy S. Walter and her husband, Jim of Medford, NJ and Kristi L. Peterson and her husband, Paul of Berlin, NJ. He is also survived by his brother A. Bruce Simpson and his wife Susie of Dudley, MA, his sister Ruth Anne Singleton and her husband, Wayne of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada and also his four grandchildren, Amanda and Jamie Walter and Sophia and Lily Peterson. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of his Life on Friday, May 29th at 6:00 PM at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Road, Medford, NJ. The family will greet friends after the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ.
