Dear Sheffer Family,
There are no words that can soften an occasion such as this. I have met your dad a few times and from the way everyone looked up to him I could see the respect and caring legacy that he created. This is what I hope you all focus upon during this time of shared grief.
God Bless you all,
Love,
Sie and Kathy Siedlecki

Word's are never adequate in moments like these. I will say that my heart goes out to you and your family, and I will always be grateful for the joyous memories that I was privileged to have in knowing Mr. Sheffer. I will always remember him for his caring and loving nature. I would also like to add that he was a second father figure to me, and I will definitely miss him dearly, and he will never be forgotten. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the pain. Love always!

I extend my condolences to the family. As a social worker with the Defenders Association , it was my privilege to work with Jim. We had a case in which an inmate had received a county sentence and in 2 months she was hospitalized and during surgery she lapsed into a coma. Jim and I were very heart broken about this because the hospital wanted to return this lady to the prison in this medical condition so he and I urged the court to parole her so she would not return to the prisons. The hospital tried to drop client off at the jails but with the parole order in hand , client returned to the hospital Jim was so very helpful to me . This client later regained consciousness and never returned to jail. I was so happy to work with him. He will be missed. CThorpe

Mr. Sheffer will always be remembered in my heart, He hired me during one of the most challenging times in my life. He was such a hard worker and caring person to his staff. Always willing to listen and make the working environment better. He will truly be missed. His smile was priceless!
