I had her as my General Science teacher at Lenape High School 47 years ago and thought she was the most effective of the ones I knew there. She was encouraging one classmate to become a doctor(he did) and others to take a Marine Biology course in Florida during summer break.

My deepest condolences to Ms. Buckley's family. She was my junior year chemistry teacher at Lenape and he was tough, but fair and consistent. She demanded that her students learn the rewards of working hard and taking responsibility for their decisions. Although I was never a great student of science or math, she taught me life lessons without me even realizing it at the time. She made a difference in the lives of her students. May she rest in peace.

To my mentor and my friend, Kat, I am happy we recently spoke but am so sad we were not able to meet up. God bless you and please watch over all of us as you did at Cherokee. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. To Sharon, Jimmy & Billy, your mom was quite the lady who never ceased to amaze me. She loved life. To Kathryn & John, your grandma always talked about how wonderfully lucky she was to have you in her life. Please know you are all in my prayers as we have another angel in heaven.

RIP Mrs. Buckley, the best teacher I ever had, I enjoyed every minute in her class room. She not only taught but help "mold" her students into responsible adults. Your smile lit up a room.
