My deepest sympathies to your family on the loss of a wonderful person. As a parent of a student who has had occasion to visit Ms. Newhart's office, her caring commitment to the individual child was palpable and heartwarming. Tracy was a true advocate for my son in every sense of the word - holding him accountable first and foremost, but always doing what was right for both student and teacher, and doing so in the most compassionate way she knew how. My family and I were blessed to have crossed paths with Ms. Newhart, and she will be missed - she led a life that truly made a difference.

Tracy was such an inspiration to my daughter, Kylie, when she had her as her 3rd grade teacher 3 years ago. Kylie adored her and she was by far her favorite teacher. Tracy made her feel special and she was always so caring about Kylie's peanut allergy. Kylie also loved seeing Tracy at Hartford school these past 2 years. She was thrilled when Tracy asked her to be an Newcomers Ambassador, and she loved doing book clubs with her (Tracy did this at Hartford for her 3rd grade class who she had to leave mid year when she got her first Cancer treatment). Tracy made such an impact on my daughter, who now wants to be a teacher. I know Tracy's sweet soul will be long remembered by all of her students, like my daughter, who admired and loved her :)

Tracy (Ms Newhart) was our sons 3rd grade teacher at Hillside and his Vice Principal when he was in 6th grade at Hartford. Tracy gets a lot of credit for Branson loving school since 3rd grade. She took the time to listen to why school was so boring, and showed him how fantastic our world, country and everything around us was. She challenged him, nurtured him, believed in him and loved him. He L💚VED her so much. He has been an A student since and continues to be inquisitive and interested in school. Recently Tracy told me she was honored to nominate him for the NJHS. It was a proud moment for us all when he got in. She was so kind, giving of her time and talents and such a sweetheart. Whenever we were in the area, Branson would always go back for his chats and customary hug. She will be so missed by us but especially by her friend and student Branson. Rest in Peace. We loved you.

Tracy was our son Ian's 3rd grade teacher. She was fun and she challenged him and the kids loved her. We loved her too. When my younger twins went to Hartford last year we were so excited that Tracy would be there with them. She is the reason they are succeeding and are happy at school. Tracy is an amazing person. Always with a smile and a hug. The world is a little less bright without her in it. We will miss her greatly but will think of her often and always fondly. Our hearts break for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Amy, John, Ian, Ryan and Lauren Conroy

I will never forget that sweet girl who stopped by one day when I was outside with my newborn son. She became my little wonderful helper. I witnessed her love of children and her desire to teach and care for them at that early beginning. I'm so happy that dream came through. Happier that I was lucky to get to know her and her wonderful family. There are really no words only prays for her loving family. Memories are forever.

Tracy was a loving and caring person as you already know, I saw first hand how much she cared about her students and co-workers, she always welcomed my thoughts and comments in regards to occupational therapy for her students, and she was always available to talk on many topics not school-related, I am grateful that I had the chance to get to know and work with such an extraordinary person. She is an angel in heaven where her beauty and kind spirit will shine above all others. Non-Hodkins Lymphoma stole my mother from me at 68 years young, if it wasn't for my faith that she raised me to believe I don't know how I would ever have gotten through it, she is also my angel in heaven, I pray for comfort for your family in your time of sorrow,
MaryFaith Hargadon
