Joyce Betty (Gager) Yates

JOYCE BETTY YATES (Nee Gager), of Turnersville, NJ, and formerly of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday September 9th, 2016.  She was 79.  Born in Medford, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine Gager.  A graduate from Glassboro State College, she taught 5th grade at the Indian Mills School.  She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Stanley “Jim” Yates and is the loving mother of Bonnie Yates and Susan Yates-Walton (Harry).  She is the loving grandmother of Jamie Sue Conaghy (Steve) and Tim Walton.  Joyce is survived by her extended family Suzann Wardle, Jennifer Cerino (Frank), their children Jonathan and Abbigail, David Wardle, Jessica Ciezki (Justin), Jackelyn Gelsomini (Louis), their children Louis and Isabella, Christopher Borgersen, and his son CJ; and all the others who loved her and called her mom or mom-mom.    She is survived by her brothers Ed Gager (Daryl) and Larry Gager; as well as her loving nieces and nephews, and all of her many friends.  “When you walk along the beach and look at the sea, remember me.  When you see a red tailed hawk or a great blue, remember me.
